Many store-bought red sauces are naturally vegan. Just make sure “milk” is not listed in the ingredient list.

Pasta with Red Sauce

1 28oz can of tomatoes, dices, crushed, or pureed
1 jar store bought vegan red sauce
Chopped veggies (optional)
3 cloves garlic, chopped
Basil (optional)
1 tsp olive oil
10 oz Penne pasta
Basil (optional)

1. Cook pasta per package instructions. Drain and let sit.

2. In a saute pan heat olive oil on medium low heat, add chopped veggies (if using) and garlic and saute lightly for 2-3 minutes.

3. Add tomatoes, and premade sauce. Simmer on medium heat, covered, for 10 minutes until heated through and fragrant.

4. Poor pasta sauce mixture over pasta and serve.
